>>7824827>I watched the showmplenty as a child but I have more memories of the merchandise they shoved in your face everywhere TMNT was the first time i noticed that the merch didn't match the actual designs.
I was into He Man and Transformers before TMNT came out and didn't really notice or cared of how poorly done the toys were.
So i guess i was older when tMNT came out and started noticing how bad the actual turtles were. This is why most of my collection was of off-characters, who didn't show up in the cartoon, like the duck, muckman, and the triceratops.
Still... didn't make me wish they also came out in the cartoon and by the time i did, i had moved onto other toys/shows.
Now that I'm an adult, i want my stuff to actually look like what they're based on. Not cheap kids crap and off-brand knock offs.
Collector lines should be beholden to a higher standard.
