>>10744376Dumb about what? By asking for COMPERABLE shit? This is fucking 4th grader quality logic.
There's a pretty big difference between hollowed out buildings vs a complete building. Any Transfag knows the worth for that. And anyone who's bought playsets or vehicles, you'll find out that the cheapest of shit is hollowed out with the negative showing. Only stuff that's more expensive usually gets both (or more) sides being molded in.
And anyone who's ever gone through the children's toy aisle knows how cheap shampoo bottle toys can be, where some 12-18" figure can be sold for only $10. Figures like that usually only have a couple of swivels for articulation. Once you start adding more complex joints, they're going to start costing much more.
>>10744387Here's what a "higher end" children's toy mini vehicle looks like. Notice the wheels just suddenly end and merge into the body. Very flat looking.
Micro Machines are a bit better and they have moving wheels (usually not well detailed).
There's more detail going on with McFarlane's vs Micro MAchines, likely because a better mold technique is being used. They're not World Tank Museum detailed (likely because WTM minis are super fragile shit aimed at modelers and the Pacific Rim tanks are meant for children), but they look up there.
