>>7919925Level of articulation varies depending on the mold, but I would generally say "articulated enough." I generally feel like they have just about the right amount--enough to do some cute poses and fiddling around, but not so much it becomes a complex, floppy mess (like some Transformers).
I think the best articulated ones are probably the shrimp, the spider, and the birds. The shrimp and spider are kind of no-brainers, cause there are segments and multiple legs and stuff, but the bird is really something special, with a really well done and expressive articulation layout.
No storyline to speak of. And I get it, I was once where you were. I would say just force yourself to try one of the more highly recommended ones, and see if you like it or not. Then you'll know for sure whether to drop it or buy more. Plus, it's pretty easy to resell these guys if you don't like it.
