Finally finished this thing. My first proper kit. I learned on my own skin some big do's and don't's. Brush painted with combination of acrylic and enamel for smaller parts.
Firstly, this is incredibly sloppy. I missed a lot of spots while painting. I also chipped it often after I've done the paint but before varnish was done. That one is 100% on me.
Second, I didn't have either this navy blue on top or that mid blue, I had to mix them and I had Revell Aqua colors. The lighter blue turned out fine-ish, but the 09 anthracite pigment for the navy blue had this propensity to separate and float to the top. So I'm not sure if this is why no matter how many coats I did the color was lighter and darker in some spots. I'll find a pic from before varnishing that demonstrates this better.
Third, the color I used for internal elements was enamel based, couldn't find a satisfactory green shade so I settled with humbrol. It was effectively one or two coats a day, and I managed to keep forgetting about all the parts of the interior I had to paint, so it was 3-4 days for the cockpit, then 3-4 more days for the landing gear bays etc... in General more than two weeks wasted because I was dumb and didn't do many things in parallel.
