One side just wants to have fun posing, which the hand allows in spades, the other wants comic accuracy and hates the robotic look of the joints. His fingers are basically tapering rectangles with only lines breaking up each joint. Short of bendy fingers there's no real 100% accurate way to do it without hinges showing. I do agree they could have at least tapered the fingers and textured them though.
Clearly I am from camp A, and you are from camp B. I just want a fun toy, so the 1000Toys is perfect for me. You want slavish accuracy over joints, so it sounds like the Mezco figures would be right up your alley instead.
