1st attempt was with superglue, 2nd attempt was with superglue+reinforcing plastic panels but neither worked for the R-side panel on the left here.

The L-side panel sheared off at the base of the top strut and actually worked fine. Seeing this, I scratch built mine to have the top hinge disconnected from the front panel. This allows the front panel to flex and bend without breaking.
