Always do a quick test shot before finalizing the camo colors, fellas! Still not sold on neither the 1991 light buff color nor the later darker sand color (both test-sprayed next to the woodland), so CARC woodland it is.
Still, I'm going to spray it buff first, and then give it a coat of chipping fluid before spraying the main camo. The inspo for that is this tank vid I found:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xW2aOGtKHyM This M1A1 seems to have been sand color at one point (might have gotten it during that 0 mile overhaul at Lima that had a documentary about it), then received the three-color woodland, and not that seems to be worn and scratched through a few places.
