>Buddy likes my figures. Decides he wants do buy a couple. (he mostly collected the Kenner StarWars figs.)>He gets Daimajin and Giant Robot from Revoltech. Opens boxes; starts to pose Majin but the arm's not moving. >He starts using force. >Still not moving. >Just as I say let's run some hot water on it, he tries once more with so much force, his knuckles turn white and then *SNAP* breaks the joint>arm goes flying>He throws a temper tantrum because the plastic is 'too weak'He rants and raves for a few minutes. Goes through the usual 'The company is in the wrong, I'll sue if they don't replace it, etc. As it turns out, the joint was just sideways. Instead of him moving it correctly he tried to move it with his Herculean strength against the joints natural path. And anyone who has Revoltecs know that the joints are pretty damn solid
All day long after that he sat and bitched about 'that weak ass plastic', and how he'd 'just barely touched it and it fell apart'. Blaming the figure instead of admitting he fucked up.
To this day he still claims he was using feather light touch to move the arm.
Shit like this is why I don't buy into all the stories about gingerly picking up a figure and the part shattering, or a butterfly farts and the leg drops off. Too many people just can't look at the situation and own up to the fact that they're the ones who fucked up. Even more pathetic is here, where nobody knows who you are people still try and pass the buck..
