You guys should support this Kickstarter by KitzConcepts. It's for Macross's Zentradi pilots, infantry, spacecraft, and mecha.
They're 1/72, but because the Zentradi are giant humanoids, the toys are basically 1:18.
These guys are 4.5" and have modern articulation. $33 each or $145 for a five pack, all with different heads.
The spacecraft and mecha go from $90-$130 and have a shit load of light up cannons and screens for the cockpits. The mecha are about a foot tall each, so the prices are pretty fair.
The Kickstarter ends Friday morning, so make your pledge before then.
Also, the 1:18 Generals came out of the GI Joe General from way back in the day. We really didn't have 1:18 Generals until GI Joe basically became a once a year toyline for ToysRUs. Even then, the 1:18 General didn't become a mainstay until gI Joe fully died in 2015(?).
So before 2015, all the other 1:18 toylines got their own threads. Kamen Rider SICs. Acid Rain. Mattel's Avatar. Indiana Jones. Prince of Persia. Gears of War. Star Wars. etc etc etc.
OF course, they were never that popular, so people would post their figures from these lines in the GI Joe General.
So it follows that the 1:18 General kinda plods along today (made worse by the week-limit auto-sage), because GI Joe is now 1:12 scale now. Star Wars and Jurassic PArk have their own Generals. So whatever's left doesn't get constant updates and bi-monthly releases, or failed to thrive (fucking Jazware's Halo). So there's not enough to talk about on a daily or even weekly basis to keep the 1:18 General on the first 3 pages.
