>>9407067I didn’t even think about this, that’s a great point. Keep in mind though, the Heroes of Endor set “sold out” quick too but then went back up suddenly and can still be had. The “1 per customer” doesn’t even apply. Hasbro definitely uses Fear of Missing Out tactics to hype up and scam people into buying their shit. It wouldn’t surprise me if they made an absurd amount of the Cantina set that will just pop up at a later date. Afterall, they outright encourage people to buy multiple sets to build the cantina despite the quantity limit. The brand managers are so full of shit.
But yeah, I’m with you. This hobby is getting tiring, there’s just no bang for your buck anymore. I really do feel like if it was run better and they fixed distribution issues, they’d make way more money. Troopers in particular are always hot, but they refuse to make enough to meet demand. Instead we get limited exclusive George Lucas Stormtrooper or Artillery troopers. There should be a regular clean Stormtrooper, Clone Trooper (phase 1 and 2), Battle Droid, Super Battle Droid, Darth Vader, Fett and Maul in constant rotation at all times, as those are, by far their best sellers. They can’t even do that. In cases of a Super Battle Droid, a figure doesn’t even exist yet. It’s ridiculous.
