>>11322978This one is just a couple of random figures I had on hand just hangin around, a mix of old favorites and new arrivals.
The Mandarin Spawn figure just looks far more epic rocking the Maxbird soft goods set and the Lemurian Spear...because his original weapons are honestly kind of awful. He's no where near as nicely sculpted or painted as the original 90s version, but still a fun toy, especially for how cheap he is nowadays.
The Norseman is my first figure from Frazetta Girls Really well sculpted and painted figure. His articulation is pretty basic it's still serviceable. He has a really solid and stable stance, very much great for displaying and almost no worry of him falling over.
I also got that Medieval Spawn Kickstarter figure and he's...disappointing is probably the best way to put it. He *looks* really nice, probably the closest I've seen to the classic McFarlane attention to detail and paint from any of his figures in a long as time. And he *is* articulated, lots of clicky joints and double elbows and such. But similar to most of McFarlane's recent stuff, those joints are either limited in range or just kind of not useful. He has trouble standing for long without his stand, the big ol' boot makes all of his ankle articulation useless. But the worst is his shoulders, the joints with the pad are just awful and annoying. Had this been a mass retail figure, I wouldn't be complaining much, but for a "premium" crowd funded venture, I expected better.
He did come with an ass load of gear though, and that was the real reason I got him. But in hand, all of it is so overdesigned and gaudy and very specifically spawn related so it's hard to use that gear for any other figure. I guess I'll just have to build an army of generic Spawns to wield all his crap.
Last is Vereticus from the Stan Winston Blood Wolves line. An old figure, stiff, solid, barely articulated and can easily be used as a deadly weapon. Also he's a werewolf and he's awesome.
