You're only tearing out hair massively if you're brushing the hair incorrectly.
You brush the hair by starting at the end of the hair and brush in small sections working your way up to the root of the scalp. I do it in half inch sections since if you get knots and tangles you can usually gently work it out to the lower half of a strand and free it/cut it off instead of the knot being at the root and you lose the whole thing.
You can usually get away with plastic brushes on saran hair cuz of how naturally slick saran is, but nylon and kanekalon are much drier fibres and the difference with using a metal comb on them can be felt cuz the metal tends to glide easier against it while a plastic brush tends to rub against it and that can cause snags.
