Some recent gets, areax dark magician. 1200ish parts for 80$. There were some lights included but no batteries.
The end result is amazing but the build experience was horrible. The punched out holes in the coat do not give enough slack to allow you to peg it where the instructions tell you too. I had the stretch the thing as far as it would go just to get it over the pin, and it was so tight the cap to lock it in couldnt stay on. Then you need to fit the big collar piece over it which also feels like it was designed with no clearance in mind.
The stand build was better but the transfer stickers for the book was too easy to mess up, they have you apply it as one big thing over the multple parts and then peel back the plastic. I would have preferred normal stickers. Some of the labels got broken during the peel off process.
Once you get everything done you fiddle a bit to get the figure on and theres only one pose that balances him properly. You have to use one of his feet to push against the back of the stand to keep him up. The lightning staff effect being supported by the book is cool.
Despite it looking amazing I cant say I recommend this unless you love yugioh. Its a great looking statue, but its a little fragile and frustrating to put together. Maybe the blue eyes is a better experience.
