>>10036248Lol wut. I was too young to read most of those storylines when they were new so I read most of these as a kid in the 2000's thanks to scans. Lumping them in with your stereotypical 90's era books from Image and Marvel(and those are really the only two major publishers pushing that style, Darkhorse, Valiant, and other indies weren't. Only a few briefly lived upstarts)
Even Knightfall itself or the Red/Blue era don't look or are written like the stereotypical 90's Image comic. The closest they ever got was Wonder Woman being drawn like a typical "bad girl" 90's comic for a while. Knightfall was written by a bunch of old Batman standards like Doug Moench and Alan Grant and overseen by Dennis O'Neil; drawn by really classic style Batman artists like Jim Aparo.
I mean hell, despite the brutal Kelley Jones cover the actual Knightfall Bane vs Batman issue has very standard, clean DC house style art.
