>>6584111Let me give you perspective from the superiority complex 3P club; bad is relative. Universe Cyclonus may not be a bad toy for what he is, his market, his price point, his age, etc, but he's bad by my standards because the baseline of my collection starts at 100 USD and only goes up.
Naturally it's unfair to suggest that a 20 USD deluxe should stack up to much higher budget 100 USD figure, but that's irrelevant for the point I'm making. It's shit because ankle tilts, waist swivels, wrist swivels, and filled forearms are not bonuses; they're basic parts of a figure for me.
3P (and MP by the same logic but I'm not a fan of Takara's aesthetic personally) have completely replaced mainline collecting for me. Why bother with kid's toys when superior adult collectibles exist? Why put up with the lack of paint, shit articulation, gimmick play patterns, etc when I can just buy a good fucking toy?
It's okay to like things for what they are. I like the original TF cartoon even though it's a terrible plotless commercial. Me liking it doesn't make it not shit though.
