After the INCREDIBLE quality of those first four Turtles, Playmates dropped the ball hard and continued dropping it to various degrees for the duration of the line. Most figures would either have garbage articulation, or all the paint apps from their prototypes removed, or both.
The only other figure I can wholeheartedly recommend is Metalhead. He doesn't have a right elbow because of the missile gimmick (missile is thankfully removable), and he only has swivel shoulders and a swivel left forearm. BUT, he retains full articulation like the 4 basic Turtles otherwise, with swivel-hinge knees and hips and a ball neck. Which all things considered, isn't bad at all for this line. He also has a pretty cute redesign, a decent amount of paint apps, and he looks good next to the boys.
