>>6927816I completely agree. I think one of the worst things to happen to toy “photography” is the ACBA. There’s more of an emphasis on sets than making something that’s actually good. It’s always some bullshit brick wall or a severely undersized rooftop with random colors in the background. It’s why I always try to shoot outside because I don’t see the point in trying to sculpt rocks when you can just go outside and shoot actual rocks etc. I’m mostly a “let other people do as they will” kinda guy but the elitism in that community it hilariously undeserved.
It is possible to create something on a set while making something that’s actually good. Pic related is a good example. I just found this guy moments ago.
