I'm going to put together my first model kit tonight and had some concerns. Is it really okay to put it together if you don't intend to paint it right away? Wouldn't it be easiest to paint while it's unassembled or still attached to the runners? I picked up these two kits, Gene Stella Tears and Stella Innocent versions and will be using the latter as practice for the former. I didn't pick up any paints but did get a mat, nippers, an exacto knife, and some sanding sticks. Will probably have to do more research on paints before going that route. Would have ordered some along with them if what paint they used was listed on their site(it was the one set of instructions they omitted.)
