I also need some info from those knowledgeable on blaster modding: is there any off-the-shelf tube that can be used as a functional barrel and not just as a cosmetic piece? I was thinking about PTFE for the low friction coefficient, but I have yet to check if I can source one with the proper inner diameter. Also, I'm using the piston of the Strongarm as a reference for the propulsion system because that's what I have (and the design of the plunger should make things a little easier to design). Feel free to suggest any other piston system (but remember that a minigun takes six of them so keep cost in mind) as long as you can provide some functional interface dimensions, like in pic related.
Speaking of Strongarm, I love it but racking the slide and pulling the trigger feels like they're full of sand: is there anything that can be done to make them smoother?
