It's just hard for a line of action figures to survive at retail if kids aren't interested in it.
I think MotU Origins are perfectly fun toys for little kids, especially the deluxes and others that retain action features. But we don't know if the kids' cartoon is popular, and even if it is, viewers are more likely to ask for the different line that looks like those designs.
But when I go to Targets and Wal-Marts, it doesn't look good. They'll leave 2 Origins figures on a peg for weeks on end and consider that good enough. Whole waves get missed that way: I've only ever seen Waves 1, 2, 5 and 7 on pegs in-state and a single Tri-Klops and Ninjor hanging in one Target on an out-of-state road trip.
