>>8345911Clothed 1/12 figures are a growing but niche market because the cloth has to be very fine in order to work and look good at such a small scale, and the same happens to the functional elements in them (straps, zippers, etc.). The flip side is that what exist is not your typical barbie. Armed cute girls definitely exist in the scale. Try looking for previous threads for references. Many of the "not-typical-barbie" clothed toy makers do both scales now after starting with 1/6 only.
1/12 in general is a very popular scale, though, so if you choose this scale you will have access to lots of accesories, vehicles and backdrops (not so much in clothes). If you ever want to make a dollhouse, 1/12 will be far more convenient than 1/6. Note how many of Barbie accesories tend to be hilariously underscaled in order to avoid gargantuan toy sizes. 1/12 scale will allow you to have things actually in scale at reasonable sizes.
