The fact that the hinge is so high up means it has very good forward and back range, which is something a lot of modern toys seem to neglect in favor of a good rocker. Forward motion is very important for crouching stances, so it's nice to see an ankle with great mobility on that axis. Rocker also is generally great, angle is usually not too steep. And it comes with a swivel built in at the top, so you don't need a boot cut. It is virtually perfect in every way.
This is a bad screengrab, but look at how far up it goes. That's fantastic forward range, you rarely see this anymore.
