>>8348846You have completely misconstrued my argument. I said that a PotP Starsaber would have had fatal flaws regardless of any prior designs like almost every other figure in the line. The leader figures were screwed over by compromising too much in too many modes and having too few parts to keep costs down, as were the voyagers. That's why I listed out all the regularly stated complaints people have with PotP. And where the fuck are you getting that I said anything was right with the line, let alone that the vote had the right outcome when like
>>8348825 said we only knew that the winner would get a new figure? Besides, all anyone has posted so far as a reason for Starsaber deserving the win is the blind assumption they would have just given the old toy more joints. Why does anyone believe that? What grounds does anyone have to think that when we don't have designs for anyone else? You just think it would have come out fine because the character fits a size-class gimmick while ignoring all the cost cutting and poor engineering that was rampant in all other figures. You're committing a texas sharpshooter fallacy.
Also, your post is trying to force a bunch of people with a vague connection into some secretive consorted effort like an underaged poltard. Do you really think the vast swaths of people who voted put more thought into these flaccid polls than "me want character i rember?" No, my point was that the toyline that brought the franchise back to relevancy after G2 had lots of people wanting modern updates. All the examples listed supported the idea that a PotP Starsaber would be fucked over and whined about today, just like if any other character won. you only say "but he could have made it work." Anything can work if you do it well, and PotP wasn't done well.
And if you want to claim "But their original line was recognized enough so we don't need more BW," then you need to stop whining because Victory got its due when those toys first came out. Retard.
