1. the mummy for example should be produced by tom crise, not only starring him. if he actually produced the movie it would be a hit like mission impossible movies which are produced by tom cruise
2. hire a creative director. universal needs a person in charge, someone to supervise monster movies and show path/direction. marvel has kevin fagie so universal needs someone like this as well. and no, not jason blum - he has no experience with aaa-productions and movie stars
3. hire people responsible for the success of fast and furious series - this is the best example how it started small and now these movies make 1b every time. even a spin of with just few characters hit 700m boxoffice. universal mosnters need to utilize that potential too
4. marketing! marketing! marketing! this is the most important thing about movies, sometimes even more important than movie itself. for example black panther - it's absoltue dogshit of a movie but with brilliant marketing it make 1b and got undeserved oscan nominations and pity wins.
- the mummy should've been focused on african/egyptian lore, myths and legends. they shouldve promoted main actress even more, she was supposed to be a goddamned ancient mummy queen!
- dracula - movie focused on bringing romanian legends and anglo fascination with them. but please this time make dracula a cruel monster as he is supposed to be. no more romance bullshit like in coppolas 90s movie or dracula untold shit
- invisible man, do i have to explain? this could be evil ironman if handled right! maybe witout flying ability but you get the deal, excentric brilliant but sarcastic and sadistic
- frankenstein monster is a tank, slow but unstoppable, not sure about bride tho, suggest something
- gillman creature from black lagoon - sorry guys, i have no idea about this one, not a fan
