>>9943072That's all it take with any IP, you get the wrong story told and you can undo a brand for decades. The few that hold up regardless of garbage stories are either blessed by the rule of cool (Venom, Wolverine,Joker, etc ) or are so entrenched in culture that they just can't be stamped out (Superman, Batman, Spider-man, etc)
Everyone else is fair game for bad stories taking top spots down to the depths of obscurity such as Ghost Riders and all of the Midnight Son's in the 90s.
