What bugs me about modern retro imitations is they look like they intentionally softened everything. Or poses that look very clinically made through modelling program and lack a human touch that gives them some subtle, natural stance and movement.
The Burger King Monster from 98 still feel better than a lot of modern super 7 attempts. Yes, they're gummy in some ways but the basic sculpts have some energy to them.
