I've never painted a kit with this kind of construction, any tips on how to keep from losing detail or gumming up the layered bits on the exoskeleton? I'm thinking of taping some paper to the inner surface of the light green outer pieces, so that I can peel it off after painting, along with any paint that gets inside the holes. I'm not sure what to do for the dark green inner pieces, though. Will I need to use masking fluid on them, or can I get away with no masking?
