White tack seems to be the least stickiest, but should hold anything. Best ones i have are gray, but don't hold as much weight. It's basically like playdoh, but slightly tackier. It comes off easily and shouldn't cause any discoloration.
I've been buying this shit to hang equipment, so it can hold up quite a bit of weight even against a wall. Once left a router on the ceiling upside down because i was too lazy to find a better spot for it and it held on for an entire year with just a thin string of putty. Only took it down because i switched routers and its signal strength was better.
