>>10667062>It was only ever planned to be about 25 figures, they said so from the start. Do you really not grasp how movie year lines work? No, you clearly don'tYou know what also was planned to be a limited release of about 10 figures?
Hasbro doesn't want nickle and dime licenses. Most companies get a license in hopes of it becoming a long time, sure money source. They get their foot in the door as a movie toyline and hope it's so successful it becomes a long term deal.
Both Indiana Jones and D&D have enough material to last that long, especially D&D.
Hasbro already had a false start with D&D back in 2020 or whenever that Dritzz figure came out. It was a shelf warmer for their store that it stayed up until this year (or is it still there?). They also did the Animated D&D characters, similar to how they ramp up production of upcoming Marvel movies a wave or so ahead with related characters.
But yes, it's normal for lines to die every single year, because toy companies are just throwing any shit ohn the wall to see what sticks. Of course, OP is pointing out mega properties and not random shit like Raw10, Heros of Goo or Alter Nations.
