You know, I had been hoping to see the Terrorcons, the actual Terrorcons, in a movie. I've had an idea in mind for a while about a smaller-scale story with a few Autobot B- and C-listers on a mission to stop them and a 'Con archeologist from acquiring an Enigma of Combination deep within the ancient buried and forgotten Temple of Amalgamous Prime, where 'Bot and 'Con alike are made to ponder the meaning of "'Til all are one." (The T'cons succeed, of course, leading to a battle against the newly-created Abominus, who tears out of the temple and goes charging to an Autobot city. Ultimately the Autobots defeat him by exploiting the divisions between the individual 'Cons: Rippersnapper (a shark, and sharks have incredibly sensitive noses) despises Blot for his stench; Cutthroat and Sinnertwin fight over their kill counts; Hun-Gurr's heads can't agree over who gets to eat their victims and go into mood swings when without a meal for too long. A-listers get some cameos in holograms and the big battle at the end.
But nah let's just have some scary cars and call them Terrorcons
