My local walmarts don't have Star Wars sections anymore, for the past month, and that's proof that they're not selling in my area.
My local Targets have Star Wars sections, but they're full of old stock and 2-3 waves behind what's supposed to be out right now.
Nothing but anecdotal shit about local sales, but it's proof that it's not selling like it should be nonetheless.
Also, there's this, where we do know that partner brand sales are way down... buuuut again, we don't have actual numbers and how much the slump is caused by Star Wars and not some other license like Marvel.
>>7727521Yep, prequels got a lot of hate, but the brand was still super strong when it cames to stores actually carrying the lines. We have 4 years of star wars material, yet there's less merch being sold than the years there was no STar Wars movies or cartoons even before the prequels were released. Inbetween the prequel releases? Still more merch.
