All you're actually doing is rotating his tail around, tucking his head into his chest, folding the les up, then collapsing he wings. The gun/bayonet things partsform, so you take them off and reattach them into their slots under the air intakes at the end. Once you've transformed him once, it's pretty easy to do without the instructions.
