Kaiyodo stole the Revoltech joint from McFarlane, because Mcfarlane Toys was the most revolutionary company in the past 50 years.
Created the collectors market. Created the Revoltech joint. realized molds could produce more detailed toys. Added a shit load of paint apps. Popularized 6" figures. And was copied to death with dynamic posed figures.

Love how you keep trying to move off topic, instead of actually proving anything this thread is actually about.

Where's the innovation and revolutionary features in the Revoltech line when they copied Mcfarlane? Even Toy Biz copied McFarlane, but Toy Biz went further and actually standardized the articulation that's become important today.

What? Because i asked to see a figure that could do shit like that? Just wanted to see if he actually had any proof to back his claims. Didn't say no figure couldn't, just that i couldn't think of anything besides hideos Revoltechs.
Point still stands though, because in 2001, McFarlane was ahead of his time and companies were copying him.

It's 2001, dude. McFarlane was pushing innovative ideas and not everything is perfected day one.

OF course, he did perfect this joint, hence everyone copying it since and is still used to this day.

BTW BTW, you do know that dozens of third party revoltech joints exist, right? Sold in packages from the same stores that sell Revoltechs even and they're not even Chinese.

Also, notice that i said that every figure is different earlier. Again, how much they're able to pose depends on subject matter, because things are going to get in the way, because they're aiming at accuracy. Again, it's Gala apples to Granny Smith apples.
All that articulation still matters though, because every little bit helps.

Also also, check out these Revoltech-type ankle joints years before Revoltech existed. Just shows how influential McFarlane is. I doubt he invented it, but they are the earliest users for them.
