Interestingly enough though, the original 1997 Machine Wars toys for Starscream and Soundwave had insignias with unusually rounded features. Meanwhile, Skywarp sported a white G2 insignia, and the rest of the 'Cons (Megatron, Megaplex, and Thundercracker) had no insignias at all.
On a side note, a bunch of fans complained about how Botcon 2013's version of Machine Wars Skywarp lacked his G2 insignia, so FunPub ended up printing some G2 Decepticon insignias to give out at the convention for anyone who wanted to put it on their Skywarp figure.
