>>7927381But that doesn't invalidate my point. You're saying that we don't get G1 shit all the time despite the fact that the main lines we've been getting for the last 6 years have been primarily G1 inspired. I'm not saying that it shouldn't be this way for my sake, I'm just lamenting the fact that it has to be this way. You're missing the point again, people were exactly the same way with bayshit because although none of the OG fans liked it all that much, it made a shitload of revenue because kids ate that shit up and allowed HasTak to continue the Generations line.
>>7927324>failed "modern version"Wasn't really a failure. Classics sold incredibly well and even during the beginning of the MP surge in 2010, people were still getting Hasbro (less G1 accurate) CHUG figures.
Like I said, most of the people who were buying CHUG in the first place moved on to MPs anyway which did fit the cartoon aesthetic that people wanted. Hell, most of the people looking for that G1 aesthetic don't even buy CHUG, they just go for MPs and legends instead because most aren't stupid enough to be HasTak loyalists.
>As far as the price goes goes, is what it is, inflation?Have you been paying attention? the recession's over, the economy recovered from it a few years ago. The only reason I could see for them raising the prices was due to Star Wars dominating everything and even then Hasbro's quality across the board was utter trash and I still can't justify paying over $15 or $20 for a Deluxe. If the price of oil doubled, I wouldn't keep driving, I'd look for a better option instead.
