For example, I hit up someone that is making a line of small MOTU inspired figures that I really love. I contacted the artist asking if he had any leftovers from shows that he would be willing to part with, so I could pay him directly instead of some reseller. He agreed to sell me something long sold out that he found in his house. When the package showed up I opened it and not only did I have the $80 sold out toy, but he threw in a never before seen prototype (pic related)that hasnt been released in any fashion for free. Totally unexpected and such a cool gesture, and I suspect only because this guy could tell how much I genuinely loved his stuff.
