- Universe, (UC > 00 > Wing = G, I don't care for the suits or series of the rest.)
- Model kit quality, (engineering, age, sturdiness, color accuracy, etc.)
- Suit design
Everything else is inconsequential to what I buy/build but in a roundabout way I guess you can say pilots shift it a bit simply because writing and characters can affect my enjoyment of certain designs and the designs influence my purchases within the realm of my favorite continuities and models that aren't poorly-designed. Might be why I scratch my head when people say "yeah Seed sucks but the MS are cool!" because I don't even like the designs of it's MS. I might just be a biased person.
