My rage against a man I have never met is building.
A month ago I posted the lot of models a friend had given me, which themselves had been abandoned by one of his friends a decade prior. This had the Patlabor helicopter in it.
Well, today I brought out the Mad Max Interceptor to see about breaking it down as much as possible for cleaning in prep of building it into the intended second film configuration. That's when I finally realized the previous owner had acquired a resin conversion kit to build the car as it appears in the first film.
And the son of a bitch not only didn't finish, he didn't store the rear windshield or the necessary filler piece for the trunk with the rest of the kit, so two VERY unique pieces from an insanely rare resin kit for a kit that hasn't been made in decades are missing.
Thankfully I think I can get away with scratchbuilding the parts with styrene (back window will obviously not match the other windows but I have no other options) but how did this guy lose those parts while the front windshield and dashboard of a 1:24 Maserati Merak ended up in its box?
