We're witnessing this exact situation play out right now with the On/Meets app being discontinued, and currently while there's no 1:1 replacement for the app, fans have developed a computer application with Bluetooth functionality to send items, money, and marriage partners. Will fans have to pick up the slack for this theoretical Tamagotchi's app, or will there be a contingency?
