i bought ds vegeta and evole goku because i thought the same as you, why pay more.
and i had a d-arts bandai figure with was garbage quality wise.
but s.h. ones are really a bunch better
except cell, the ds cell is better.
anyway the articulation is very limited in ds line
but if you want just a vegeta fig its fine.
for playing with them in an adult sense i would recommend s.h. line. but vegeta s.h. with the new body is over 100 eurobucks so good luck with that
oh yeah and then i found this kaioken goku for 35 euros and got it because cheap but i like it very much so i am probably hooked up now to s.h. line. already ordered clone goku and will get cooler and the new cheap ss rose goku
i like the articulation and the feel of the joints on the evole line the most but they are small and ugly mostly
