1:6 used to be very affordable and accessible. Even in the early Sideshow days I remember buying a Monty Python Hoaly Grail 1:6 for less than $30. Hot Toys fucked the market on purpose and suckers are too attached to this shit to complain. They will even defend shit QC with "but it's an adult collectible, it' snot supposed to be durable!".
I bet if someone did try to sell 1:6 stuff at a reasonable price on a large scale, Hot Toys would find some loophole to sue them. Shit, the only affordable 1:6 I ever see is PTE World Peacekeepers on the rare occasion a store stocks them. Hasbro also cut their balls off and handed over to other companies so they won't bother now, not that Hasbro puts effort into anything.
