Almost all toys are durable enough to be scrubbed with a soft brush and warm soapy water.

I give almost all my figures a warm bath when i get them, just to remove the greasy lube that all toys have from the manufacturing process. Simply swishing it in soapy dawn water works great, but make sure to rinse it and shake it dry. Don't leave water inside and shaking the figure will take almost all of it out.
Also, no new toothbrushes. They're too stiff, unless it's been well used. The ones for skin are better or a simple rag. Any sort of friction works well, but a brush will get into all the crevices.
