When I first saw the moloch and solo landspeeder sets I knew that I wanted to purchase them, but then I saw their prices, and I wasn't that keen on the price - so I decided to wait until they went on sale. I purchased them last week during a sale at Target (20 percent off).
I liked their designs, I haven't watched the film, but the lego designs particularly caught my eye - I have an affinity for builds that are asymmetrical, snot heavy, and complex in the way they use intricate and esoteric brick-building techniques to achieve the overall outcome.
I finished building both sets just now and I thoroughly enjoyed both. Once again I was impressed by the ingenuity of the Lego designer(s) to achieve the outcome. They're both solid too - so well reinforced and so their form and function are equally accomplished. These are what I consider to be the archetype and standard of design for what I would like to achieve in mocs in the future.
Really great sets both of them and I am glad I decided to purchase them finally.
What do other anons think of these two sets?
