>>10387915I don't know why I'm so disappointed, all the live actions have had the exact same problem so far. I guess I hoped they'd learn from the criticisms, but with the money still rolling in why should they? This one just seemed SO EASY, it's basically all handed to them, spend five minutes on insta or pntrest looking at mermaid princess aesthetic and just go hard. Instead they'd rather water and water and water down what's already good about it until it's just all fucking water. But it would of course require people making it who cared a fraction of the tiniest bit. Their contempt for the material they're adapting shows in every frame.
