For me personally, I'm not interested in 1:18 scale space marines, but if it does well, it means we might get orks or tyranids (as with the McFarlane line, the marines did well and now meganobs and genestealers are on the list).
1:18 orks might be fun for GI Joe displays, but 1:18 tyranids will be great all around - as big monsters for the 3 3/4 toys, or as small swarms of monsters for 6" toys. Unlike orks, tyranids are designed to look like the general xenomorphs or arachnids, and aren't terribly distinctive so would work as generic alien bugs on the shelf.
[loltoyspoiler] And buying one 1:18 box of 3 fully painted and posable tyranids of any type at 50 bucks would actually save me 10-40 bucks per model unit as a tyranid stand-in-squad. [/loltoyspoiler]
