-The color changing LED was from some sort of lamp? The thing itself used a 12V adapter, so i removed all the other stuff and took the LEDs since i wanted to use USB (5V)
-The base itself was a coffee/cup warmer thing. Took the guts out. and used the shell.
-USB cable was from a mouse.
-The pad in the middle was a... ummm a square rubber cup-coaster? i have no idea, but i got a bundle of 6 of them.
I grab random stuff and make use of it.
In the past i had done some of these for friends.
Using the coffee-warmer as a base, taking the guts out. i had the resistors and LEDs, and again was using the USB cable from a mouse.
This is the schematic i made for a single color LED.
So it's easy to make. . .but it would be nice if someone bought the one i made :DD
