So the face plates...you have to strip them off. I just wipe them off with Mr. Thinner but you could sand them off. But really, don't bother repainting skin unless you are really serious and hellbent on changing her skin color drastically. Do the best cleanup you can on it, seam weld the mold lines etc. then put a matte coat on it and use pigments for shading. Or you can just airbrush clear colors directly on the skin for shading. Even if you want to change a typically pale chick into a Nagatoro with tan lines, I'd use clear paint before repainting her skin entirely. You can even get pearl white clear to do highlights while preserving the original molded skin color. In the GK world we do it a lot but it's pretty standard for JP musume kit builders these days as well.
