>>7154316After going through several cameras, I'd say the ability to mount different lenses is gonna give you the most bang for your buck, megapixels are more of a constraint on phones do to their limited lenses. If you've only got the money for one though, I'd just get a phone. Any flagship in the last couple years or current budget model is probably gonna have good details, and might even be able to get halfway decent bokeh. Pic related is a no-effort shot off an iphone 7, but I think it cleans up alright.
And in my experience, cameras are also several years behind in user friendliness compared to phones. You might have been touching to focus on even shitty smartphones for years, but it's something you're gonna miss with a midrange/late model camera. Personally I wouldn't give up my mirrorless, but it might be something to consider.
