>>8761753No worries, and do give the stores I shit-talked a chance too, if able. I know when walmarts in the US had like $10 deluxes, ones here had a good deal like that too... just not in Toronto!!!!
But my personal rec would generally be visiting TRUs in-person, but hey. Plus/down side with in-person and online (other than not being able to inspect toys) is that I'm pretty you'll have like a unique product listing/number/SKU/etc online, whereas if say you get a deluxe and think it stinks, you can exchange for another deluxe since it's the same code. TRU did buy-2-get-1-free stuff or just directly 25% sales whereas they did 1/3-off sales when TRU US existed, if my memory and math serve me correctly. Also at least in my stores, Decepticons often shelfwarmed a bit more, albeit I saw Grapple/Hoist/Ironworks sometimes shelfwarm a bit. So if you like Decepticons, you might want to time your purchases or just check prices for a retroactive refund thing now and then. What else..
Oh, right.
>Target exclusives generally show up irl and possibly online in TRU>walmart and amazon exclusives show up on .ca versions>wallgreens gamestop/EB Games as mentioned>Selects/shared exclusives sometimes show up irl in TRU but also online, e.g. Hubcap and Greasepit are online, spy patrol and Reflector I've seen irl and onlineLast thing to note about TRU
>sale happens>online listings say sold out, or disappear from search outright (link still works if you find it)>sale ends, listings magically go back in stock againSome stores honour "I bought full-price something that I knew would go on sale the next hour, give me the price difference" but I think the official policy during quarantine is that they don't do that.
Cybertron.ca's also a p snug community, and they're happy to answer your questions if you have any more. I am too, of course.
