I don't recall him having arm joint issues like that exactly, but he could have. Other than the aforementioned issues, the first Guts was also heavy QC lottery with the tightness of his joints.
I can't speak for all, but Heat of Passion is worse for me, because in my experience, the rest is all great. I haven't experienced any issues with any of the other parts of that figure. Which just makes it all the worse that it has shoulders that are, to my knowledge, engineered to fall apart and fail permanently on you. Two halves that are small, held together by a bit of friction that disappears once it pops off, and pushed and pulled at by armor plates, torso sculpt and arms on the side. Yeah, his arm range is really good. Super good, but I feel like using it strains and exerts pressure that eventually causes it to pop apart.
I mean, look at picrel. Why is it so tiny? It's a shoulder/arm joint.
